Storm bow and physical damage
I recently had a lucky drop and got a nice storm bow in the Tombs. However the bow doesn't trigger damage from any of the orders (e.g. Order of Pain) even though it has zealous string. Is the base type of damage for a storm bow, lightning, even though it says piercing on the description? Is there any way to do physical damage with a storm bow?
I notice that Elyswths bow doesn't trigger orders either, so it does chaos damage? |

You checked Order of the Vampire?
Remember that Order of Pain you don't see the dmg - its just added to your damage. Order of the vampire only shows up as a different number because its life stealing. |

Bows come in two diff types of dmg
Peircing and Physical I swore Peircing was the same as physcial... but could bypass the warriors vs Phsycal dmg. |

The Orders should work just fine, perhaps you just missed it. If you're really worried, take a friend with orders into the training area or a low level PvE area.

Storm bow = Piercing = physical damage base. Lightning damage when you put a Shocking String on.
Orders invisible. Zealous string have nothing to do with Orders. Elswyth's bow is as says: piercing. |

You're right the storm bow is doing physical damage. The damage numbers are just appearing differently from how I expected.
For Order of the Vampire, two numbers appear, a yellow one for damage and a blue one for life stealing, whereas no numbers appear separately for Order of Pain. I was expecting just a blue (life-stealing) number for Order of the Vampire and a separte yellow number for damage from Order of Pain. Thanks for the help. |

i think only the necro sees the order of pain dmg but i cant be sure. all bows are piercing, assuming they dont have an ele string, and piercing is phys dmg.
